Shabby Chic Tilda

Kokeilin taas shabby chic -tyyliä tässä Tilda-kortissa, en tunnu oikein tulevan sinuiksi sen kanssa. Taustapaperi on DoCraftsin Lucy Cromwell-lehtiöstä, sotkin papereiden reunoja gessolla saadakseni aikaan pehmeämmän vaikutelman. Roiskin frantage-jauhetta leimakuvan ympärille ja käytin sitä myös metallisten perhosten kuorruttamiseen. Värittelin kuvan ProMarkereilla.

I tried the shabby chic style again with this Tilda card but it still doesn't feel like my thing. The papers are from DoCrafts Lucy Cromwell pack and I muted the colors with some gesso. There's Frantage powder around the image and on the metal butterflies. I colored the image with ProMarkers.

Today I post another Christmas card, in this one I used a Lili of the Valley image. The papers are from MMe's Lost & Found Christmas pack, I used kraft paper for layering and inked all the edges.

I made this Halloween card to take part in a Finnish craft challenge. The papers are from MME's Lost & Found Halloween pack and the brad is also from the same series. The stickers are from Authentique.

Pinkkiä ja kermaa / Pink and Cream

Tämänpäiväinen kortti on jotain ihan muuta kuin yleensä teen. Nallekuva on Forever Friendsin 3D-arkista ja minähän en 3D-kuvia harrasta koskaan, tuonkin kuvan kanssa fuskasin ja käytin vain osan kerroksista... Ei vain hermo kestä pikkupalojen kanssa tuhertamista. :) Paperit ovat DoCraftsin Pampered Pets -sarjaa.

My card today is very different from what I usually do. The teddy image is from Forever Friends 3D set and I neverever do 3D... I cheated with the image and only used the bottom layers, I can't stand playing with tiny bits. :) The papers are from DoCrafts Pampered Pets range.

In today's card I used The Greeting Farm's Cheeky Geeky stamp and colored the image with ProMarkers. The papers are from DoCrafts Happy Days pack. Chipboard cherries and hearts came with a mag and I distressed the little hearts with some ink and Crackle Accents.

Tässä kortissa ja tägissä käytin DoCraftsin Persimmon-lehtiön papereita, leimailin vaalealla musteella paperien reunoille. Pahvikuviot tulivat jonkun lehden kylkiäisenä ja molemmat tekstileimasimet ovat Stempelkelleriltä.

I made the card and tag using DoCrafts' Persimmon papers and stamped the edges a bit with a light colored ink. The flower fairy chipboard images came with a magazine.

Mäenlaskua / Skiing Downhill

Tykkään hirveästi tästä Lili of the Valleyn leimasimesta, se sopii kivasti esimerkiksi laskiaiskortteihin ja on hauskan vauhdikas. Väritin kuvan Derwentin vesivärikynillä, paperit ovat DoCraftsin A Christmas Tale -lehtiöstä. Lumihiutaleet stanssasin kirkkaasta kutiestemuovista ja kutistin uunissa. Tekstileimasin on Nea-Idean.

I just love this cute Lili of the Valley stamp, it's so full of energy and winter feel! I colored the image with Derwent watercolor pencils and the background paper is from DoCrafts A Christmas Tale pack. The snowflakes have been die cut from clear shrink plastic and shrunk in the oven.

P*skiksessa on tälla viikolla aiheena väribingo, josta valitsin rivin pinkki - valkoinen - punainen. Livahti korttiin vähän vihreääkin, mutta hyväksyttänee kuitenkin haasteeseen.
Kuviopaperit on saatu jostain yksittäisinä eli valmistajaa en tiedä. Leimakuva on Whiff of Joyn ja väritin sen Ditress-musteilla ja ProMarkereilla. Tekstileimasin on Stempelkellerin.

CAS joulukortti / CAS Christmas Card

Välillä on kiva haastaa itseään pois mukavuusalueelta, CAS (eli clean and simple) on ollut minulle haasteellinen tyyli, mutta muutamia CAS-kortteja tehtyäni olen alkanut tykkäämäänkin niistä.
Tässä kortissa käyttämäni joulutähtileimasin on Stampendousin ja teksti Vilda Stampsin. Kuvaa värittelin Distress-musteilla.

It's sometimes fun to challenge yourself and do something out of your comfort zone. CAS (clean and simple) has been a challenging style for me but after making a couple of CAS cards I've started to like it.
The poinsettia stamp I used in this card is from Stampendous and I've colored it with Distress Inks.

Välillä vähän miehekkäämpää vintagekorttia, kuva on Graphic45-arkista ja tägi on saman valmistajan leikekuva-arkista. Taustapaperi on Priman Craftsman-lehtiöstä, kulmiin koholeimasin BoBunnyn mehiläiskennoleimasimella.

A more masculine vintage card for a change. The image and the tag under it are from Graphic45. The paper is from Prima's Craftsman pack and I stamped  and embossed the corners with BoBunny's honeycomb stamp.

Elokuu 2014 / August 2014

Teen lahjaksi kalenteria ensi vuodelle ja koska oli kesäinen olo, aloitin kesäkuukausista. :) Tähän elokuun kalenterisivuun käytin Lili of the Valleyn leimasinta ja väritin kuvan Derwentin vesivärikynillä. Paperit ovat DCWV:n Mariposa-lehtiöstä ja kalenterisivun pohja ekopaperia. Taustaan on roiskittu hillitysti kimaltavaa mistiä, joka ei näy kuvassa. Kaikki reunat on mustetettu.

I'm making a calender for next year to give as a present and because I felt like summer, I started with the summer months. :) I used Lili of the Valley's stamp in this one, which is for August. The image is colored with Derwent watercolor pencils. The base of the page is kraft paper and patterned papers are from DCWV's Mariposa pack. I've added glittering mist to the background but it doesn't show in the photo. All the edges have been inked.

Kortistossa kysytään parasta nettiostosta, en osaa oikein nimetä mitään yhtä tiettyä. Tilaan tosi paljon netistä ja etenkin ulkomailta. Ehkä uusin paras ostos on ollut frantage-kohojauheet, niistä tykkään tosi paljon.

I got the Tatty Teddy stamp with Creativity magazine a couple of years ago and the cake background paper is from a scrap paper pack from Lidl. I used ProMarkers to color the image.

Frantage-kokeilua / Experimenting with Frantage

Posti toi eilen paketin The Glitter Potista ja pääsin vihdoin kokeilemaan koholeimausta frantage-jauheilla. Leimasin Kaiser Craftin leimasimilla sekä kuvan reunoille että taustapaperiin ensin kohomusteella ja sitten ripottelin frantagea päälle. Kokeilin sitä myös ruusuihin ja valkoista frantagea käytin perhosen kuorruttamiseen. Ihania aineita!

I got a delivery from The Glitter Pot yesterday and I experimented with Frantage powders a bit. There's frantage on the image edges and also on the background paper (first stamped with Kaiser Crafts' stamps and embossing ink), I tried it on the roses too. The butterfly is covered with white frantage. I love this stuff!
