Isänpäivä / Father's Day

Vietämme tänään Isänpäivää ja appiukolle viemme perinteisesti punaviinipullon. Tein pullon kaulaan roikkumaan koristeen DoCraftsin Wellington-sarjan papereilla ja kuvalla.

Today we are celebrating Father's Day here in Finland. We traditionally give my father-in-law a bottle of red wine and this time I made a tag to hang from the bottle neck. The papers and image are from DoCrafts Wellington range.

We have a new challenge theme at Simply Create Too and it's Father's Day (or just a card for a male)! My Father's Day card was made with Docrafts Wellington range papers and image.

Nallekortti isälle / Teddy Card For Dad

Olen käyttänyt tuota Forever Friendsin nalleleimaa useampaankin isänpäiväkorttiin, se on mielestäni sopiva myös miesten kortteihin. Kuva on väritetty ProMarkereilla ja maahan lisäsin irtokimalletta lumeksi. Taustapaperin olen tehnyt itse käyttäen vettä ja Distress-musteita. Teksti on Circle Itin leimasin, sen taustaksi stanssasin huovasta piparireunaisen ympyrän. Leveässä nauhassa on ihana tekstuuri, se tuntuu samettiselta.

I've used the Forever Friends teddy stamp for male cards a few times, I think it's cute but not too cute. :) This time I colored the image with ProMarkers and added some glitter on the ground as snow. I've made the background paper using water and Distress Inks. I've die cut the scalloped circle under the sentiment from felt. I love the texture of the ribbon, it has a velvety feel to it.

Viinipullolle koriste kaulaan / Decorating A Wine Bottle

Tein tämän koristeen viinipullon kaulaan laitettavaksi, se on samaa sarjaa aikaisemmin postaamani appiukolle menneen isänpäiväkortin kanssa. Paperit ovat My Mind's Eyen Sky Is The Limit -lehtiöstä, reunat on ressattu ja mustetettu ja teksti on dymotettu.

I made this wine bottle decoration to go with the Father's Day card for my father-in-law, I posted the card earlier. The papers are from My Mind's Eye's Sky's The Limit pad and I've distressed and inked all the edges.

Isänpäivää / Father's Day

Isänpäivä on huomenna ja tänään esittelen omalle isälleni tekemäni kortin (hän ei lue blogiani, joten yllätys ei mene pilalle). Vintagekuva on Pion Designin ja valitsin nimeomaan tuon kuvan, koska se muistuttaa aika paljon itseäni pienenä. Paperit ovat Carta Bellan Well Traveled -lehtiöstä, reunat on ressattu ja mustettu. Kukat stanssasin kahvin suodatinpusseista. Pyöreä tekstileimasin on Circle Itin.

We celebrate Father's Day tomorrow here in Finland and today I'm sharing a card I made for my dad (he doesn't read my blog so it won't spoil the surprise). The vintage image is from Pion Design and I chose specifically this image because it resembles me when I was little. The papers are From Carta Bella Well Traveled pad, I've distressed and inked the edges. The flowers have been die cut from coffee filters.

Pieni lahjakin on ollut tapana antaa isänpäivänä, tällä kertaa paketoin sen tähän pieneen pussiin, jonka koristelin saman Carta Bella -lehtiön papereilla.

I made this little gift bag to go with the card. I used the same Carta Bella papers.

The papers and image I used in this card are from DoCrafts' Wellington range. The tag is Graphic 45 die cut and there's Crackle Accents and inks on it.

Paketoin lahjan ja tein siihen varsinaiseen korttiin sopivan pakettikortin. Jos olisi ollut aikaa, olisin leimaillut lahjapaperiin vielä jotain kivaa, mutta jäi taas ihan viime tinkaan...Osallistun tällä kuitenkin Amalian marraskuun haasteeseen, jossa on aiheena lahjapaketti.

Charisma Cardz Challenge #44 & Dutch Dare Card Challenge #190

Kokeilin taas taustan tekemistä, tässä Timpan mustetekniikalla eli sinistä mustetta askartelualustalle, ruiskitaan vettä päälle (itse käytin "oikeaoppisesti" minimisteriä) ja painellaan paperia/kartonkia siihen. Tulee hauska marmoriefekti. Kiehkura on stanssattu siniharmaasta foilista.

Osallistun kortilla kahteen haasteeseen:

Dutch Dare Card Challenge, jossa aiheena My Favorite Things. Omia lempijuttujani tässä kortissa ovat itse tehty tausta ja tuo Forever Friends- nalleleima. (My favorite things in this card are the self made background and the cute Forever Friends stamp.)
